Hugh has more than 30 years experience advising private and public companies for M&A, divestiture and growth purposes in transactions ranging from $5 - $150 million. He has raised capital for venture and late stage companies, including management buy-outs.

Hugh is the founder of Taylor Capital Advisors LLC, an exit planning and execution firm. He was most recently a Managing Director for Newbury Piret & Co. Hugh is a former Executive Vice President and Senior Commercial Lender for the Bank of New England (now Bank of America). He was responsible for the bank's middle market and specialty lending groups. He was also Chairman of New England Capital Corp., the venture capital subsidiary of the bank.

Hugh serves as a Director of Paramount Insurance Company and Elite Storage Solutions.

Hugh received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the US Naval Academy and a MBA in Finance (Wall Street Journal Scholar) from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Hugh is a retired Commander in the U.S. Navy and stays active in military affairs. He also remains an avid golfer and skier.
